Printer spooling software, printers, paper management system and consumables

Printer Spooling Software

The telex printer is designed for telex departments and busy offices where instant printing of telex or legal documentation messages is required.

It is attached to the Telex Unit and will provide a printed copy of all received messages.

There are two types of telex printer, an ASCII and Baudot version which provide a complete record of all activity on the telex line - incoming and outgoing.

Working in partnership with OKI, telex printers are quality products engineered to the highest standards to guarantee long, reliable service. They can be used in conjunction with a wide range of telex management systems.

The print mechanism is a dense dot matrix type which produces crisp, clean copies and easily handles up to 4-ply printing. This is a particularly useful facility which is often necessary in a busy environment when multiple copies of a telex are required.

Technical Summary

Printer Spooling is an alternative software solution which allows all or individual messages to be autorouted to any printer attached to a PC or network.

Major Features:

High Capacity
Fully Flexible
Modular design
Universal Line Interfaces
Dual speed Line rates
Integrated Alarm Management
X.21 and G.703 64Kbit/s Aggregate Rate

The Granger Series TM 7150 Mk II Multiplexer has been designed to HUB remote services onto one of a Number of Telex Switching Machines. Up to 1007 low speed or 159 medium speed lines can be multiplexed into a single 64 kbit/s aggregate trunk for remote connection to the host switch. This trunk connection may be on a national or international basis.

The TM7150 Mk II Multiplexer can be configured in a number of ways. The equipment is modular and can provide cost effective mixtures of traffic system capacity. Each system must be provided with a Master Equipment Rack containing one Common Equipment Shelf, Power Supply Shelf and at least one Channel Interface Shelf. The Common Equipment Shelf contains a duplicated Bearer Multiplex and GMAP alarm and configuration modules. The aggregate output is at 64 kbit/s at either X.21 or G.703 co-directional interfaces.

Configuration control and alarm management is through the GMAP via a handheld MMI terminal. The Channel Interface Shelf contains a duplicated channel interface multiplexer and up to sixteen Line Interface Cards (LIC). Each L:IC provides four Telex Terminal circuits. Each system can accommodate sixteen Channel Interface Shelves giving a total system capacity of 1007 low speed Telex Multiplexer terminals.

V.28 type line interface applications the necessary loop and Equipment voltage power supplies are fitted in Power Supply Shelf of each equipment rack. For High Level applications a separate Loop Power Supply rack is required. Multiple Loop Voltages can be provided from within this single rack. The basic system operates from either -48 or -60V DC central office static battery supply.

Various ancillary options are available including, external power generation, MDFs and TJFs.
